One of our new years resolutions was to try and take Max out to as many different places as we could in the local area or further afield. We've been impatiently waiting to take Max to Moors Valley as we wanted to go and not be restricted with the pram and I'm glad we waited. Max adored running around the place playing on all the playing equipment.
Moors Valley is a country park and a forest that features everything from gorgeous tea rooms and railway to a fantastic play trail and the hilarious go ape. We decided that due to the weather not being the best (it was spitting with rain on and off all day) that we would stick to the play trail and let Max go wild on all the climbing equipment. This was all wildlife themed and ranged from a massive spiders web (seen above) to wooden teepees and creepy crawlies. There are a few parts that are specifically for older children but nothing that Max didn't want to try though!
The best thing about it is that you only have to pay for your parking (it came to £4 for the 4 hours that we were there for - very reasonable!) and you are free to take a picnic and eat throughout any of the walks and trails.
A great way to start off our resolutions, let's hope that there are many more to come.
